Privacy
WUMPF is a place to talk honestly about things that did not work out. That only works if you can trust us with it, so here is exactly what we keep and why.
What we collect
- From Google sign-in: your name, your email address and a Google account ID. We do not get your Google password, contacts, files or anything else.
- What you post: Wumpfs, replies, museum exhibits, your Failure CV, reactions and the communities you join.
- Photos and videos you upload. Photos are re-saved by our server, which removes hidden location data.
- A sign-in cookie so you stay logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
What we do with it
- Show your posts and profile on WUMPF under your name and username.
- Send one welcome email when you join. We do not send newsletters unless you ask for them.
- Keep the site safe: moderators can see who wrote a post, including anonymous ones, so abuse can be stopped.
Anonymous posts
Anonymous posts and exhibits never show your name or profile to other members. Our moderators can still see who posted them, and anonymous posts are reviewed before they go live.
What we never do
- We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- We never post anything to your Google account.
Deleting your account
Email wumpf@wumpf.com from the address you signed in with and we will delete your account, posts and uploads.
